Keller Williams Realty Mid-Willamette goes PAPERLESS
Mid-Valley, OR November 2, 2010 – Broker Duo, Keller Williams Realty Mid-Willamette has announced that in an effort to reduce the amount of paper used in its business practices, the transaction coordination department has moved to a paperless system.

Continuing to be at the forefront of technology our local Keller Williams office have subscribed to a secure system called Transaction Point. “With the FHA (Federal Housing Administration) making the use of electronic signatures (e-signatures) legal on April 8, 2010, the real estate market was finally able to move to a paper-free environment. Now that bids, contracts, and signatures can be electronic, the mounds of paper used for the sale or purchase of a home can be replaced with electronic files.” Our team is proud to also offer DocuSign (“the market leader and global standard for electric signatures”) signing services which makes obtaining necessary signatures a breeze.
In contrast to the traditional method of mailing copies of post closing documents to each individual client, Broker Duo has begun to scan and store the files electronically. Instead of having to wait for the delivery of addendums, reports and contingency releases, lenders and title companies will now be able to see them minutes after being processed at the Broker Duo’s office. In addition to better serving their clients, Broker Duo sees this as a good step in reducing their carbon footprint and a step in the right direction toward going green.
Benefits to you: electronic applications are not only better for the environment, it is easier to keep them organized and helps in the speedy review of applications, getting potential buyers/sellers responses in a shorter time. Maximizing efficiency.
Keller Williams Realty Mid-Willamette doesn’t use the traditional fax machines known for being a waste of paper. Any fax sent to Keller Williams is received electronically and forwarded to the proper email address. With the large amount of faxes used in real estate, this has helped save many trees over the years.
In other green news, our Corvallis market center had its Grand Opening last Friday. The brand new building, located on NW 9th street (where the Gables restaurant used to be) has many green features built right in. In addition to the paperless, the building gets its energy from solar panels helping it to be sustainable. There are also changing stations available for clients and Realtors using electric cars. We will surely be seeing more electric cars and charging stations according to an article in the Oregonian on October 15th of this year “More motorists will soon be saying "plug her in" instead of "fill 'er up," judging by developments in Portland and Salem”.
Keller Williams, ever evolving. Because your move matters.
