I could not wait to Blog about this! I LOVE going to Safehaven. I never leave with an animal, we have two cats and a very playful chihuahua but as soon as the need for a new family member arises I know where I'm going: Safehaven Humane Society.

The people who work there are simply amazing. This guy (above) drives in over an hour (one way) to work with these animals and help nurse them back to health. This poor kitten was found with no mama in sight and the Humane Society is solely responsible for him still being alive.

One thing I wanted to really let you all know is that Safehaven is going above and beyond for families in need right now. For those families facing touch economic times, one of the first things that gets cut out of their budget is the needs of their animals. Safehaven has a pantry available for those families so that their pets do not starve. Safehaven is always accepting donations of pet food.
